Frequently asked questions
Is Prepared Home an official government service?
No. Prepared Home is an independent project and is not operated by Home Front Command, a local authority or another government body.
Does the site replace official instructions during an emergency?
No. The site supports advance planning. During an emergency, follow current official instructions from Home Front Command, the authorities and emergency services.
Do I need to register to use the personal plan?
No. You can use the tool without registration or an account.
Where is the information in my plan stored?
It is stored in the browser you use and is not sent to the site.
Can I delete the information?
Yes. The personal plan includes an option to delete the stored plan. After deletion you cannot continue from where you stopped unless you first saved a backup file.
Can I move the plan to another device?
Yes. You can create an encrypted backup file and import it on another device.
Can I use the site without an internet connection?
Some previously loaded parts may remain available offline, but do not rely on that during an emergency. Save or print the plan in advance if you need an independent copy.
Are the practical guides available as PDF files in English?
Not currently. The English practical guides are provided as HTML pages. PDF guide files are available in the Hebrew edition. The personal-plan tool can be printed or saved as a PDF through your browser.
When were the sources checked?
The source-review date is shown in each guide. Sources and instructions may change after that date.
How do I report an error, broken link or accessibility problem?
You can report it through the feedback form linked from the Hebrew site.
Can the guides or tools be adapted for an authority or organization?
Yes. The Hebrew site includes information about collaborations and content adaptation.
Who counts as a household member?
Any person who regularly stays in the home and is included in the plan can count as a household member, even if they are not a relative—for example a housemate or a live-in caregiver.
Can the plan include a child who stays here only part of the week?
Yes. The household step can record that a child sleeps in the home only on some days. Check that contacts, supplies and arrangements also make sense for the child’s other place of stay.
What do Home Front Command, local authority, health fund and welfare hotline mean?
Home Front Command publishes alerts and protective instructions; the local authority is your municipality or local/regional council; a health fund provides community health services; and welfare hotlines provide information and guidance. Service availability may change during an emergency.
